On August 2011, I participated an exhibition called “Membajak TV” organized by Komunitas Salihara in Jakarta, Indonesia. The exhibition was curated by Krisna Murti, a media artist and art writer from Indonesia. The exhibition brought the issue of “pirate”, in which the selected artists for the exhibition created works based on their own perspective to the issue itself. In 2010, Julian Abraham, Agus Tri Budiarto and Nur Akbar Arofatullah initiated a project of making safe and generic fermentation method to make wine made from tropical fruits. The project name was Intelligent Bacteria: Saccharomyces cerevisiae (IB:SC). The project was a collaboration between art and science in the medium of bio-technology where the purpose of the project was to dig in the local potentials of tropical fruits in Indonesia, create a safe and generic fermentation method and distribute it to the society.
